I’ll Watch It, But Not if I Have to Pay for It

Just the same, another study, by MediaMark Research & Intelligence found that more than 20% of mobile phone or PDA users are interested in watching live TV on their devices. But not if they have to pay for it. Only 13.5% said that they would pay a subscription fee to watch live TV on a mobile device, and even though practically everyone finds mobile ads annoying, they would (and we have seen this over and over through the last year) to some extent put up with it – 25% said that they would be willing to have ads on their devices if it mean paying less to see live TV. And among people who perceived their mobile device to be a source of entertainment, 48% would put up with ads in return for cheap TV.
