Facebook and Nielsen Team Up

Meanwhile, Facebook itself is looking to help advertisers measure their online performance.  The company is partnering with Nielsen to poll its users about display ads running on the site.  Facebook will provide Nielsen with data from people who did and did not see an ad; Nielsen in turn will put it together for advertisers.  From Facebook’s perspective, this can be proof that running ads on the site works. Because the number of people using it are so huge, advertisers are falling all over themselves getting ads there – WSJ says that tens of thousands of them are placing advertising. Facebook is helping out by launching products that help advertisers use the site, and this can help measure how well it’s all working.  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125356656635628897.html
