Bugged Out Babies

Now for the horrifying news of the day.  Well, it’s horrifying if you’re a parent.  Or it should be.  The LA Times reports on the amount of time that children are spending in front of a television set.  That’s television (also recorded and taped shows, as well as game consoles)– it doesn’t count computer time.  Kids aged 2-5 are watching an average of 32 hours of television a week.  That’s even worse than the numbers for 6 to 11 year olds, who watch an average of 28 hours a week. I could say lots about this, and the article sounds some alarms by pediatric professionals on the topic. But I won’t. This is too scary even for Halloween.
