The Anti-Social Texting Habits of Metropolitan Creatures

The Wall Street Journal reported on a survey commissioned by Samsung Mobile on the texting habits of people in various metro areas.  The survey questioned respondents on the places or situations in which they text (they did not ask about texting while driving, though).  And citizens in Atlanta seem to do it the most – at the dinner table (44%), on dates (27%), at the movies (48%) and at church (15%).  They must be pretty bored down there, and I hope none of those dates were first dates, or I bet there weren’t any second ones. In DC, they don’t do much texting at the dinner table; apparently they actually have stuff to say to each other there.
